Term 2 Week 2

This term we are doing bike skills.  We did it yesterday we got to ride a bike. Last week we had to learn safety before we could ride on the bikes.  This week we had to know ho to get on the bike and off the bike and how to get a helmet on.  I was in group 3. It was fun.

Week 8 Term 1

For reading I am in the rocket readers.  We are in some groups like gold, green, purple. I'm in purple but Mrs Melville says it in Maori.  For our big book it is about insects and other staff about insects.  I like rocket readers.  After we do our big book we go into our groups.  We go into our groups to help us learn.

Term 1 Week 7

yesterday we went to youth town we were splited into year 4 and year 5. Year 4 got to go in a cone the girls stand up. We were aming for the wickets. The first won in line had to go behind the wickets because we might of mist the wickets. It was FUN!

Place Value

I was learning to read numbers up to one thousand to say which is bigger or smaller.

The thing that helped me most was:
- remembering to look at the left to see if the digits are bigger
- using streets and houses to break up bigger numbers
- seeing patterns in the numbers that don’t change when they get bigger
- practising on Mathletics

My next step is to:
- try the same activity suing bigger numbers
- use this information to move problems
