My Reflection

WALT identify bias in a text.  We had to highlight the words that showed Koro Apirana being biased.  He would be mean to Kahu because he wanted a boy to be the chief but Kahu was next in line and she is a girl. I thought this activity was tricky to find where he was being biased.The easiest part was the ones where it said he was grumpy with her.  The hardest part was where it didn’t say it very clearly.I’m enjoying learning about Whale Rider.

Long A SOund

I was learning to highlight the long a sound.It was easy because I slo mode talk the words and figer out what the long a sound was.What helped me was slo mode talking the words.

Bridge to Terabithia Impacts

Bridge to Terabithia

We were learning how to summarise a book that we learnt was bridge to terabithia. This was easy because we watched the moving yesterday i could remember all the parts in the story.My class mates helped me by remembering how to put the chapters in order.

Making Connections

Room 20 has been reading the book, Bridge to Terabithea. In the story, it was raining really hard and the water was swollen flooded. Yesterday it was pouring here as well. So we decided to do some authentic learning. We made some raincoats from plastic bags and walked down to the creek behind our school. We could see the water flowing fast and the plants that had been flattened. I thought this was fun because we could go in the rain and looking in the creek well it was pouring down with rain.

I am learning to make prediction based on the cover and blurb.
This was easy because we got to work in groups and talk about the story.
My learning was easy because I asked for help and try my best that I could to try and finish this.

Kites

So all we did is that we had to pick a kite that was on our page and then we had to example the bridle centre sail flying line frame and tow point.I picked the delta kite because it looks like it can fly quite high.Then we had to make our own kite but it had to be the kite that you picked       My Reflection

This was hard because I did not know what the bridle and all that stuff

I still wonder if were going to do something like this again

I am still wondering the we are still doing something like this again

This was easy because we had a three group but the other groups had 2 groups

First we had to make a popplet and share it to your partners then we had to get some ideas what Matariki is about and write it down in poppet then we had to write in our slide show should it be a public holiday or it shouldn't be a public holiday. now we had to find some information on some websites like the Wikipedia
